Project location: Takoradi

Number of children supported: 100

Type of support: Accommodation and education for orphans

Zeitraum der Unterstützung: Since 2021

In Takoradi in Ghana, Primavera supports the orphanage "Father’s Home Care Ministries", which has existed since 2001. Abandoned, neglected and poor children find a home in this house. Single mothers can also live here and take care of their own children as well as other orphans. They are supported by trained supervisors.

Father"s Home Care Ministries" is a privately funded children’s home that relies exclusively on the financial support of private donors and sponsors. Since its opening, more than 500 children have been cared for and supported in the facility. Of these, around 60 young people have completed higher education and more than 30 are currently in further training.

In order to provide a good education for the children, Primavera, together with Bosch Rexroth Africa and the Mandela Education Program, also financed the construction of a library through donations, which was completed in 2023. More than 4,000 books and ten computer workstations were donated by the Nelson Mandela Education Foundation and employees of Bosch Rexroth.

This project was made possible not least by a generous donation from Bosch in 2021: on the occasion of the change in management of the Bosch Board of Management, Franz Fehrenbach, Volkmar Denner and Stefan Asenkerschbaumer asked for support for Primavera instead of gifts and donated the amount to the orphanage "Father’s Home Care Ministries".
