Operation Antifreeze, a registered non-profit organization, has been fighting hunger and feeding hope in our community for the past 24 years. Through our school feeding program, we provide monthly food parcels to 750 children—many of whom rely on the meals they receive at school as their only source of nourishment. Heartbreakingly, for some, the sandwich they receive at school on Friday is their last meal until Monday lunchtime. The food parcels provided ensure that these children have something to eat at home—not just in the evenings, but also over weekends and during school holidays, when the school meal in unavailable. The impact of the food parcels goes beyond addressing immediate hunger; it extends to the overall well-being and development of these children. A hungry child faces challenges in concentration, physical and mental development, and the ability to reach their full potential. By providing regular food parcels, we are not only addressing their basic nutritional needs but also creating an environment where they can thrive academically and personally.
Empowering children begins with well-nourished children who are better able to grow, thrive, learn, participate in and contribute to their communities.
